Getting there

As Kind Friend wrote in her blog we have heard now from the clinic, and we have a sort of go ahead, except for the not insignificant detail of DP’s hepatitis status. He has just called me to say he has had the RNA blood test which should confirm the virus is not live in his body. Hopefully MrR will be allowed to treat us, otherwise we’ll need to move on to the big hospital in London which is licensed to deal with high risk cases. I have no idea what that would mean for waiting times and cost.

Fingers crossed.

DP will be negative for the virus, as he has had this test before and “passed” – but will the powers that be still treat him as infectious? It would be quite unfair if they did.

  1. So happy for you that you have that great bit of good news! I’ll keep my fingers crossed as well that the last piece falls into place soon.
